CONCUSSION TRAINING
USA Judo requires certified coaches and referees to complete a concussion awareness course. It is recommended that all USA Judo members take one of the two(2) courses to be aware of concussions and concussion protocol.
At this time, USA Judo offers the following two (2) courses at no charge to fulfill the requirement.
Only one(1) of these courses is required.
- National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS)
- Center for Disease Control (CDC)
To complete the CDC Heads Up course please visit the CDC website, choose the ‘Login’ or ‘Create an Account’ button and follow the instructions until you can select the proper course from the ‘Course Catalog’. Upon proper completion, download the certificate and email to Matt.Schneider@usajudo.us or fax to 719-866-4733. Please allow 24-48 hours for your USA Judo Membership profile to be updated.
To complete the NAYS course, please visit the National Alliance for Youth Sports website, choose the 'SIGN UP' button and follow the instructions. Upon proper completion, download the certificate and email to Matt.Schneider@usajudo.us or fax to 719-866-4733. Please allow 24-48 hours for your USA Judo Membership profile to be updated.
